Farm Education

In 2007, La Vecchia Fontana became an Educational Farm, having attained the standards set by the region of Abruzzo. We organize visits for nursery and primary school children to participate in the workings of the farm and see the various animals who live here. Animals such as Cattle, Peacocks, swans, goats, turtle doves, pigeons, hens, sheep, ponies, donkeys, rabbits, pigs, cockerels and various types of ducks. It is also possible to work on the vegetable plot aswell as help with the olive harvest and the varied seasonal activities. They can also take part in the making of pasta and bread.

Our Products

It is possible to buy some of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, cheese and other home-grown produce. You can also buy our amazing confectionary and honey.

La Vecchia Fontana is surrounded by woodland and cultivated land, a well-kept garden and children's playground, all of which contribute to a happy and enjoyable holiday for you and your children.

The Surrounding area

For lovers of nature, the area around La Vecchia Fontana offers many possibilities for hiking and mountain biking. You can take beautiful walks in the surrounding area and walk to some amazing spots for taking in the wonderful views. Later in the year, you can collect mushrooms from the woods around the house. You can also go fishing at a freshwater lake 10km from the agriturismo.
